Update #1

Merry Christmas,

I'm a day late, but I come with a new blog title. Today I won't be discussing the same things I do in Thoughts blogs. Those will still come though!

Today's update: not much.

Origins has passed all legal requirements. Copyrighting took some time as I ran into some issues. I thought it might not get copyrighting until after it pulished...scary thought. But I managed to work it all out and got it finalized. Now all we got to do is wait.

The cover art was also a bit fuzzy. I got ahead of myself when I sent it into a cover artist. I just gave them a generalized page count, I see now that was stupid. I think I found a solution though. I hope I don't make this mistake again.

I originally planned a social media post about these blogs on Christmas day as a "gift" but I'm changing that plan. It's not because I'm a day late and forgot all about it yesterday...I wanted to do this.

I've been getting some work done on Foundations too. I realized, as dicsussed, there was some issues throughout the book, so I'm going back through and editing with a highlighter.

My next book is Origins II. I had written the first few chapters but noticed I was already at 25,000 words. I don't want my next book to be as long as Origins so that was unacceptable numbers. I rewrote and fixed those chapters. Now I'm at a good word count for where I'm at in the story. Please expect this around April 2025. More info later.

Other things I could give updates for: website, marketing, plans going forward, etc. But nothing major has changed on these fronts. I'm on a "break" right now, from real work at least, so we'll see how much else gets done for a little while. I'm focusing in on Origins II as 2025 approches, but creative storytelling isn't coming too naturally right now. I need to write these next couple scene with efficiency. (I don't want to use too many words and have to fix that later.)

I hope that's a good update. These posts may come less often, but more so when I want to focus on updates or avoid other conversations. We'll see when the next one is. Expect most minor updates to come in other blog posts.
